Alistair Burt entered UK Parliament for the first time in 1983 for Bury North and since 2001 has been the Member of Parliament for North East Bedfordshire. He was Minister of State for the Middle East at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Minister of State at the Department for International Development from June 2017 to March 2019. He has been an ICMP Commissioner since December 2013.
