In this video, Alexander Verbeek, founder of the Planetary Security Initiative which works on projects related to the impact of the changing climate, water, food and energy, makes a passionate and eloquent argument for global action to combat climate change.
Verbeek makes a frank assessment of global efforts so far including the “Paris Climate Agreement.” “As a diplomat, I can say what we achieved in Paris, practically all the countries in the world together is a fantastic result – seeing it from a diplomatic point of view. Looking as an environmentalist at the result, you could say it’s a start but it’s absolutely not enough.”
